Javier will pick you / your group up in Santiago, the capital city of Veraguas at your hotel/your request preferably mid-morning. From Santiago you will be comfortably transported directly to Santa Catalina Beach in a 4 door 4x4 ‘97 Mitsubishi Montero fully equipped w/AC, new tires, roof rack, insurance and road vehicle safety equipment. Relax and enjoy the 2-2.5 hour ride out to Santa Catalina Beach. Miles? Check in to Casa Kenia: juice, water, and local fruit (when available). Walk down 200mts from Casa Kenia to Pinguino´s Café; located at the end of the road in the heart of town. Enjoy your lunch on the waterfront.
Trip concerns and logistics discussed during lunch. Do you want to climb ‘Cerro de la Torre’ (Coiba’s tallest peak at 416m) in search of the Three-wattled Bellbird? Hike from ‘Ensenada de Santa Cruz’ to the ANAM Station? Or how about walking the Thermal Hot Springs Trail to get a good look at the endemic Coiba Spinetail? What about the beautiful Scarlet Macaws (nearly extinct on the main land!!) breeding on the island? Want to go snorkeling and swim with Hawksbill Turtles: which are globally critically endangered? Javier will let you know what can be done and will cater to your needs as much as it is safely possible.
After lunch, depending on weather and tide, depart Pinguino´s Café on foot and walk up and across the Sta. Catalina River. Walk the .5-kilometer beach west side of the river. Return to Casa Kenia. Group dinner at Los Pibes Bar & Grill.
6:30am B&B Casa Kenia. 7:30am board local 25’ fiberglass ‘panga’ with bimini/shade top, center council, VHF Marine radio, seat cushions, and all required safety gear. Total crew includes: local and licensed boat captain, Javier, and you/your group. Depart west to CNP/ World Heritage Site. Arrive ANAM Station
aprox 9am.
This is the 4-Day and /or 5-Day Coiba Adventure Tour previously described in addition to:
- Round trip personal transportation Santiago, Veraguas – Casa Kenia, Sta. Catalina Beach.
- Transportation to lunch and dinner from Casa Kenia to local restaurants in Sta. Catalina on day of arrival. This depends on our pick-up time in Santiago. We may be doing only dinner in Sta. Catalina. Lunch and/or dinner tab at local restaurants in Sta. Catalina not included.
· Transportation to local restaurant for dinner the day we return from Coiba.
· B&B Casa Kenia. Depart to Santiago from Casa Kenia, Sta. Catalina aprox. 7:30am.
· Day 1 is counted as the day we meet in the city of Santiago, Veraguas...the day of your arrival to Casa
Kenia, Sta. Catalina. The last day ia counted as the day/morning we return to Santiago.

Luggage not needing to go with you to Coiba National Park is safely stored in your room at Casa Kenia. Whether your are going to Coiba for the day, an overnight trip, or a multiple night adventure your luggage is safe and sound in your room a Casa Kenia with no extra charge.
